College of Economics and International Trade(CEIT), which had been a part of the College of Business, was launched on Sept. 1, 2010 to refashion itself into an internationally competitive college through consolidating within some departments of College of Social Sciences and establishing new majors in responding to the changes of the times. CEIT is composed of various kinds of majors such as Division of Economics, Division of Trade, Division of Public Policy & Management, Department of Tourism & Convention Management and Division of Global Studies. Many graduates from Division of Economics and Division of Trade having a long history and tradition are playing excellent roles driving the Korean economy in major corporations, government organizations and media organizations. And Division of Public Policy & Management, Department of Tourism & Convention Management and Division of Global Studies are also expected to have high academic reputation in the future.
Especially, in Division of Global Studies, all faculty members are from around the globe and all of its courses are offered in English. Lastly, faculty members of CEIT have excellent research records. Each Division of CEIT is endeavoring to understand the changes in economical and social environments through academic studies, and focusing on helping students develop analytical and rational abilities to solve various problems resulting from the globalization. CEIT is devoting great efforts to raise professionals in economic and international trade fields as well as senior government officials and international leaders within a global mindset and world-class qualities who are needed to achieve the nation`s growth. CEIT-related research institutes are Institute of Management & Economics, Asian Institute for Regional Development, Institute of International Area Studies and Institute of Chinese Studies. CEIT currently has about 200 foreign students and is expected to enroll more in the near future.
